Why is my End Hose Sprayer leaking formula and/or water?

This normally happens if the Backyard Halo Barrier bottle and/or the garden hose aren’t tight enough to the End Hose Sprayer, or the rubber washers are missing on the End Hose Sprayer. Make sure the bottle and the garden hose are tightened to the End Hose Sprayer, and the rubber washers are inserted on the End Hose Sprayer.

Why is my End Hose Sprayer not dispersing the Backyard Halo formula?

This may happen if the water flow is off, or the End Hose Sprayer lever is in the off position. Turn the water on and ensure that the lever found on top of the End Hose Sprayer is in the on position.

Why do I see some mosquitoes after using my End Hose Sprayer?

Keeping mosquitoes away will require multiple applications, and more applications during the peak mosquito season. The goal is to hinder the mosquito lifecycle by applying Backyard Halo Barrier at least once per week after the first two applications. Apply formula to damp areas, near gutter downspouts, near bushes, high grass areas, and everywhere you see mosquito activity.

How do I know if I have applied product with my End Hose Sprayer correctly?

The Backyard Halo Barrier formula has a nice scent that should be noticeable after each application. If for some reason you do not smell the Backyard Halo Barrier formula after it has been applied, this means your application was not successful. To mitigate, ensure that the End Hose Sprayer lever is in the on position and not in the middle (the water only position) and reapply Backyard Halo Barrier.

What is the shelf life of the Backyard Halo Barrier?

Since Backyard Halo Barrier is made with essential oils, if kept away from sunlight, heat, and properly sealed the product should last at least one year.

Why is my Nano Sprayer leaking formula?

This normally happens if the bottle with the Backyard Halo Barrier formula is not tight enough to the Nano Sprayer, or the rubber washer is missing on the Nano Sprayer. Make sure the bottle is tightened to the Nano Sprayer, and the rubber washer is inserted on the Nano Sprayer where the bottle attaches to the Nano Sprayer.

This may happen if the Nano Sprayer is not fully charged or the rubber washer on the Nano Sprayer is not in place. Connect the Nano Sprayer to charge prior to using. Check the rubber washer on the Nano Sprayer (where the bottle attaches to the Nano Sprayer) to ensure its in place. Apply Backyard Halo Barrier before using your patio, balcony, or pergola.

Where should I store my Backyard Halo Candle?

Store your BH Candle in cool and dry place with the lid on. Ensure that the candle is at room temperature before placing the lid and storing the candle.

What are the benefits of using a Backyard Halo Candle?

Why is my candle smoking?

Candles can smoke when the wick is too long or there is moving air hitting the candle. Shut the candle off and wait till it’s cooled and at room temperature before trimming the wick to 1/8 of an inch. Then, move the candle away from direct airflow, and relight. After every use and before storing the candle, trim the wicks to 1/8 of an inch and remove debris. This will ensure your candle is ready to burn properly the next time you light it.

What surface is safe to place the Backyard Halo Candle on for lighting?

Place the BH candle on a stable surface and away from flammable objects.

How long can I leave my Backyard Halo Candle lit?

We recommend no more than 4 hours at a time to prevent the candle from smoking and getting too hot.

What burn time does my Backyard Halo Candle provide?

The Backyard Halo Candle has an average burn time of 40 hours. Caution - never burn candle to the bottom of the container – leave at least ¼ of an inch of wax on used to prevent overheat.

Why is my candle not lighting?

This happens if the wick is covered in black soot. Trim the wicks to 1/8 of an inch and relight the candle.

Can I move the candle when it’s lit or hot?

No - never move the candle when it’s lit, hot, or in liquid form. Always wait for the candle to reach room temperature before moving.

Can I leave a lit candle unattended?

No - never leave a candle unattended when it’s lit. Keep in mind that candles can overheat and catch fire.
